This year's topic: Trees and Baskets and Blooms, Oh My!
Explore these wonderful quilting themes in a variety of options. Trees have always been a popular choice for quilters. Try traditional pieced blocks or original trees in applique. Tree of life is also a great choice! Baskets are another favorite of quilters over the years and can be explored in either pieced concepts or applique. Adding blooms can make a great addition to your project. Consider the many option here- from traditional to art to modern! Pat and Sue will have lots of ideas and techniques to teach, from piecing, to applique in a full size quilt, wall quilt or even a miniature. Experiment with new fabric options, such as silk or wool. Try some creative embellishments ideas- both hand and machine!
As always, Sue will share machine quilting concepts for those interested- the newest and most current quilting ideas. Pat will share her expertise in all things precision! We are very excited about 2017 and hope you can attend!
We know many of you come for a relaxing time with no pressure, so feel free to make this work for you. There will be lessons that last one to two hours in the mornings and some afternoons. Day One will be getting started; Day Two, applique, piecing and quilting basics and Day Three and Four, work on your own with guidance from Pat and Sue.
